A Superior Court judge on Tuesday, July 19, again blocked Herb Wesson from acting as a temporary replacement for suspended Los Angeles City Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas, once again leaving the 10th District without a council representative.

The Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously today to appoint former Councilman Herb Wesson to represent the city’s 10th district, as a replacement for Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas, who was suspended after being indicted in a federal corruption case.

Los Angeles City Council President Emeritus Herb J. Wesson Jr. and Good Plus Foundation hosted a diaper grab-and-go for last Saturday morning at his district office in West Adams. Diapers were given to families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Priority was given to families in the 10th Council District but no families were excluded and cars were lined up down the block and around the corner before the event even started.

Wesson Jr. and Good Plus Foundation will host a diaper grab-and-go for 10th Council District residents on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at his district office in Koreatown. Diapers will be given to families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Priority will be given to families in the 10th Council District but no families are excluded from applying.
