The Los Angeles Sparks waived Bria Holmes and terminated the hardship contract of Kristine Anigwe, the team announced today.
The Sparks signed the 6-foot-4 center Anigwe on June 4 under the hardship exception after injuries to the Ogwumike sisters. Anigwe made seven appearances for the Sparks this season. In 10 total games this season, including three with the Dallas Wings, Anigwe has averaged 3.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game.

The Sparks also announced that guard/forward Bria Holmes has been waived. The Sparks signed Holmes to a training camp contract on Feb. 19, 2021. Holmes made the opening day roster and played in 12 games, starting four. She averaged 5.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 18.8 minutes per game.
