The coroner’s office today identified a father and son found dead in a home in South Los Angeles after what investigators believe was a murder-suicide.
Police responded about 6:30 p.m. Monday to a call from someone at the home in the 9900 block of Cimarron Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The two were found with gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The suspected shooter was identified as Kody Lewis Cox, 27, who is believed to have fatally wounded his father Arthur William Cox, 55, before killing himself, according to the LAPD and Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Autopsies on both men, each residents of Los Angeles, were pending, according to the coroner’s office.
