Concerned Citizens of the 10th District have been absolutely compromised when every district in the City of Los Angeles has a representative on the City Council except for us. Yes, 14 out of 15 leaves a mathematical answer to the question that many people in the city have been asking. How many districts are excluded from voting in the city? The answer is One district- and that district is the 10th District. 

Herb Wesson Appointed Councilmember for 10th District

 The community’s ardent request for a voting representative for Council District 10 has been addressed by Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez, who introduced a motion to appoint former Councilmember Herb J. Wesson, Jr. to represent Los Angeles’ 10th Council District. 

Ridley-Thomas and Empowerment Congress Discuss ‘Reimagining L.A.’

While Mark Ridley-Thomas has less than six months in his position as the 10th District Councilmember, his roots with the Empowerment Congress go way back, nearly 30 years.  So, it’s no surprised that he joined with the community group to host “Reimagining L.A.: What’s Next?”
