Television host Rocsi Diaz has joined forces with NFL legend Deion Sanders for a new daytime talk show, “We Got Time Today.”
The show premiered on Nov. 19, 2024, at 5 p.m., and streams exclusively on Tubi. The 20-episode series blends humor, candid conversations, and cultural insights aimed at connecting with a diverse audience.
Diaz, known for her work on BET’s 106 & Park and as a correspondent on “Good Morning America,” described the show as an opportunity to present herself in a more personal and authentic way.
“This is the first time I get to be authentically myself,” said Diaz. “The structure is there, but it’s loose enough to allow real conversations and spontaneous moments.”

Her dynamic with Sanders is a defining feature of “We Got Time Today.” Diaz said their chemistry, first evident during their audition process, drives the show’s energy.
“He’s an alpha personality, and I’m an alpha personality,” said Diaz. “We went back and forth, challenging each other, and that energy has carried over to the show.”
The show goes beyond entertainment, diving into cultural and social issues. Diaz explained that it offers a platform for discussions that resonate with communities of color, blending humor with impactful dialogue.
“We want to entertain, but we also want to address the issues that hit a nerve and make people think,” said Diaz.
Diaz credited Sanders’ career as a major influence on the show’s direction. She praised his contributions to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and his ability to create opportunities for others.
“Deion has a way of opening doors for others,” said Diaz. “Whether it’s his work with HBCUs or his coaching, he’s always focused on amplifying voices and creating pathways for success.”
With nearly two decades of television experience, Diaz said she feels prepared for the unscripted nature of “We Got Time Today.” She noted her time on BET’s 106 & Park helped her develop the skills to adapt quickly. “Deion throws out comments and jokes constantly, and you have to be ready to keep up,” she said.
Diaz also highlighted the unique format of “We Got Time Today.” According to Diaz, the show allows for spontaneity and authenticity, giving viewers a chance to see both hosts in a new light.
“Deion is more than Coach Prime,” said Diaz. “He’s insightful, funny, and incredibly genuine. The show gives viewers a chance to see a side of him they may not have seen before.”
The production’s collaborative nature is another standout feature. Diaz explained that contributions from producers, crew, and viewers help shape the show.
“Everyone is part of the experience,” said Diaz. “It’s not just about the hosts. The audience, the team behind the scenes—everyone plays a role in shaping what this show becomes.”
The conversations on “We Got Time Today” aim to strike a balance between impactful and entertaining moments.
Diaz said the first episode set the tone for the series, blending humor with heartfelt discussions. “It’s not about sticking to a script,” she said. “It’s about having real conversations, connecting with viewers, and making them feel part of the journey.”
As a streaming-exclusive series, “We Got Time Today” is a significant addition to Tubi’s growing lineup of original content.
For Diaz, being part of a platform that supports diverse and innovative programming is an exciting opportunity. “Tubi is the perfect home for a show like this,” she said. “It allows us to reach a wide audience while staying true to our vision.”
