The USC Alumni Association Board of Governors has appointed Raphael 82’ and Tyra Henderson, M.Ed., Ed., MA, to serve as its University Parent representatives on the Board.
The USC Board of Governors promotes the advancement of the university and engages alumni of all ages and backgrounds. Its members represent each of the USC Alumni Association’s major constituent groups, as well as all of the university’s major academic units.

Raphael and Tyra become the first African American parents to serve as Parent Representatives on the Board as it celebrates its centennial anniversary. Nadine Watt, USC’s Board of Governors president shared, “Both Raphael and Tyra are stellar supporters of the Alumni Association, and we are fortunate to now have them both serve on our Board of Governors.”
Raphael and Tyra have two students currently attending the USC – Connor, a junior studying Real Estate Development at the Price School of Public Planning, and Christian 22’ who received his BS in Business Administration (Finance) and is completing in his Master of Finance at the Marshall school of Business.
The Hendersons shared, “We are very honored and excited to continue to support the University and the Alumni Association in this distinguished capacity, Fight On”.
