Many talented ministers will display their vocal artistry at the 28th annual Singing Ministers Concert presented by the Trustee Board of Price Chapel AME Church.
The event will be held on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m., at 4000 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles, announced Pastor Benjamin Hollins. Praise and worship will begin at 5:45 p.m., under the direction of Carl Johnson, minister of music.
“Join us as we make ‘a joyful noise unto the Lord’ in celebrating 28 successful years of worshipping through song and enjoying ministers giving God the glory, honor and praise,” said Hollins.
“Our emcee will be Dr. Pres Blackmon, known as ‘Mr. Voice,’ who airs on KALI radio station 900AM in Pasadena. Also, you don’t want to miss our fantastic line-up of participants,” he added.
The performers will be the Rev. N.W. Martin, New Life Institutional Baptist Church in Los Angeles; Pastor Kenneth Baker, Bethel AME in Perris; the Rev. Shirley LaCour, Bethel AME in L.A.; Rev. Magdalene Milsap, Christian Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Inglewood; Pastor T. C. Johnson, Murph Chapel/St. Paul AME in Valinda; Pastor Barbara Johnson, Spirit of Faith World Ministries in L.A., Pastor Michael Eagle, Sr., Grant AME in Long Beach; Pastor Wendell Miller, Lincoln Memorial Congregational Church in L.A.; and Pastor Joseph Nixon, Freedom in Christian Fellowship in Denver, Colorado.
