For the ninth consecutive year, Price Chapel AME Church will host an Angel Tree Breakfast and Christmas Program to share fellowship, food, toys and gifts with more than 40 children and 25 families.

The program will be held on Saturday, December 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on the campus located at 4000 W. Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles.

“We hope to assist children facing Christmas separated from their incarcerated mom or dad by dedicating this day to them,” said Pastor Benjamin Hollins.

“Our Angel Tree coordinator, Linda Swanson, is continuing Price Chapel’s history of serving Angel Tree Children, their guardians and incarcerated parents in this community.”

The Rev. Michael Jackson, associate minister at First AME Church of Los Angeles, will be the guest speaker. Jackson, who founded the Angel Tree program at Price Chapel, will share his involvement with prison ministries in Los Angeles County.

“More than 1.7 million children will spend Christmas away from their imprisoned parents. Please join us in spreading the spirit of Christmas to those who need it most,” said Pastor Hollins.

“Churches and groups can help sponsor a child by sending a check payable to Price Chapel AME Church and writing ‘Angel Tree Ministry Donation’ on the memo line.”
