Excitement is building at New Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church as they prepare for their Annual Women’s Day Celebration.
Events begin on Sunday, November 8, at 3 p.m., with the Pre-Women’s Day Celebration. The theme is “Praising God with One Voice” based on Matthew 18:20.
On Sunday, November 15, at 7:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 3 p.m., the Annual Women’s Day Celebration takes place. The 2015 Woman of the Year will also be crowned.
“We are excited to celebrate the faithfulness of New Mt. Calvary Women’s Ministry as well as their commitment to service and excellence in ministry. Our theme for this joyous occasion is “Women of God, Committed to Serve” with the scripture reference on Romans 12:1-2,” said the Rev. Dr. Sonja R. Dawson, senior pastor.
“Also, this year we welcome back renowned speaker and daughter of legacy, Rev. Cokeisha Bailey-Robinson of the Church without Walls in Houston, Texas.”
The Rev. Bailey-Robinson is known as an encourager, servant, leader, author, mentor, proclaimer for the Kingdom and an adventurous woman who never meets a stranger.
A graduate of Fisk University, she also attended Samford University where she received a M. Div. degree from the Beeson Divinity School. In addition to full-time ministry, she writes for several devotional sites and has contributed to four published books. In addition, Bailey-Robinson is a national conference speaker, ministry consultant and mentor to seminarians.
