New Bethel Baptist Church, located at 503 Brooks Avenue in the Venice district of Los Angeles, will celebrate 72 years of dedicated worship and community service on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 8 a.m.
According to , the greater Los Angeles community is invited to attend and witness this significant milestone.
The day’s festivities will commence with a special church service from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., featuring guest churches in a spirit of praise and worship. Following the service, the celebration will continue from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., honoring the church’s new status as a historical site within the community. This recognition highlights the enduring presence and impact of New Bethel Baptist Church on the corner of Brooks and 5th Avenue.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this landmark achievement,” said Dr. Davis. “Our church has been a beacon of faith and community spirit for over seven decades, and this designation as a historical site underscores our long-standing commitment to serving and uplifting our community.”
