English Gardner could lead the Rio Games as the USA’s most famous female Olympic Games sprinter since Wilma Rudolph and Marion Jones. Gardner won the U.S. Olympic Games trials 100 meters in 10.74, the fastest time in the world this season. Only six women have ever won the 100-meter in a wind legal time.
