Special to the Sentinel
On April 15, 2018, Ms. Nola M. Carter will celebrate her centennial birthday. She is a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother and has been a friend and supporter of many people during her lifetime.
This amazing woman has been a community activist, vigilantly standing by what she believes in, a board member of various prominent organizations, a director of community based programs and projects, an avid traveler, and a faithful church member.
She has been a pillar of strength in our community working side by side with various well-known elected officials, and abroad, reaching out to children in Africa who were ill.
She has received many awards, commendations, and acknowledgments, far too many to count. One of her proudest achievements includes raising 10 children, all while making a lasting impact on many people’s lives in the community.
Today, we celebrate Ms. Nola M. Carter’s lifelong accomplishments, and we express our gratitude for her selflessness. She is adored by all of her loved ones, family and friends.
