The vocal talents of local youth and clergy will highlight the 25th Annual Singing Ministers Concert.
The popular event, presented by the Trustee Board of Price Chapel AME Church, takes place on Sunday, November 20, at 5:45 p.m., at 4000 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles.
“Once again, we will feature 14 awesome, dynamic ministers as well as two talented young people singing praises to God,” said Pastor Benjamin Hollins. “Dr. Pres Blackmon of radio station KALI will serve as emcee.”
The youth performers are Danielle Rawles and the Price Chapel AME Praise dancers and Chloe Roston, winner of the “Taste of Soul’s Star Quest Talent Show.
The clergy participants are the Rev. Mervel Warren of First New Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. N.W. Martin of New Life Institutional Baptist Church, the Rev. Kenneth Baker of Bethel AME in Perris, the Rev. Michael Eagle, Sr., of Grant AME in Long Beach, the Rev. Dr. Mary Minor of Brookins-Kirkland Community AME, the Rev. T.C. Johnson of Murph Chapel-St. Paul AME, the Rev. Shirley LaCour of Bethel AME – LA and the Rev. Errol Gillette of Good Shepherd Baptist.
Other vocalists are the Rev. Dr. L.A. Kessee of Bethany Baptist, the Rev. Magdalene Milsap of Christian Unity Missionary Baptist, Minister Brenda Caldwell of New Congregational Missionary Baptist, the Rev. Barbara Johnson of Spirit of Faith World Ministries, the Rev. Clarence Devereaux of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist and the Rev. Daryl Walton of Ward AME.
Virginia Damon-Carmichael is the program chairperson and Woodie Coleman is the co-chairperson.
