A search was continuing today for the person who fatally shot a man who had just stepped off a Metro train south of downtown Los Angeles.
Detectives were called at 11:51 p.m. Wednesday to 1945 Long Beach Ave., the Washington Station stop on the Metro A (Blue) Line. According to Los Angeles police, a man in his mid-20s walked off one of the train cars and was shot by another man.
The gunman fired multiple shots at the victim and fled on foot, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. It was unknown if there was any connection between the gunman and the victim. The suspect was described only as a man between 25 and 30 years old.
