Police are asking for public’s help
Authorities this week identified a man who was shot in the head in a possible gang-related attack in the Leimert Park area, and whose killer remains at large. The shooting happened at 2:45 a.m. on January 2, in a home at 46th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard, said Sgt. Carlton Brown of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Station. Mohammed Wesley, 33, of Los Angeles died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section said the crime may have been gang-related.
