In honor of Black History Month, Kaiser Permanente will host a health fair offering free health services and activities to members and non-members alike.  The fair will take place from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw Medical Offices, 3782 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., in Los Angeles.

The event will feature the following services and Black History Month-related activities
free-of-charge:

  • Flu vaccinations for adults.
  • Health Education workshops on hypertension and diabetes.
  • Cooking demonstrations with Black Women for Wellness.
  • Hands-only CPR class.
  • An exhibit highlighting African American history.
  • Souline Dancing, square dancing and salsa classes.
  • Ask a Doctor, blood pressure checks and more.
  • Community resources and medical financial aid consultations.
  • Free giveaways (while supplies last).

Kaiser Permanente’s Member Health Clinic, located at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw Medical Offices, will also be open during the event. Clinical services to be provided include blood pressure checks, mammograms, A1C blood sugar testing, COVID-19 vaccinations, diabetic retinal screenings, vaccinations for children and more.
