Fans of Johnathan Majors are disheartened after learning about the news surrounding his arrest on Saturday, March 25. The Creed III actor has been accused of strangulation and harassment of his alleged romantic partner—he was arrested under those charges in New York.
Reports from TMZ, COMPLEX, and NPR confirm the current allegations; Majors, 33, grew aggravated after his alleged romantic partner became curious about another woman— he was sharing messages with while leaving a bar in Brooklyn, NY. The aforementioned sources were led to believe Majors slapped his supposed romantic partner and grabbed her tightly around her neck—leaving visible marks on her body.
The current narrative states that after the physical altercation, the 30-year-old woman was dropped off in a different location than Majors. The woman called the cops and reported the incident the next morning. Injuries that have been revealed appear to be on her head and neck. Multiple sources confirmed the woman went to hospital but left in stable condition.
News related to Majors’ next Sundance project broke the same day of the altercation. His recent Magazine covers, and interviews reached viral levels on multiple social media platforms. Majors was gaining traction as an actor, as he played significant roles in the latest films, such as “Ant Man and Wasp: Quantomania,” and “Magazine Dreams.”
NPR confirmed the name of his representative, Carrie Gordon, who stated, “He did nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up,” Gordon said on Majors behalf.
Questions and concerns are bubbling up on Twitter regarding the authenticity of the allegations and Majors’ trailblazing career being snubbed out instantly. Most fans are asking, “Jonathan Majors did what?!” Some men from the collective community have voiced their opinion, stating this is yet another attempt to bring the Black man down.
Other spectators have responded with concerns of the well-being of the victim. Although domestic violence accusations are severe, there are Creed jokes and comments that are formulated to poke fun about the situation—circulating across social media.
