Bishop L. Daniel Williams takes the helm of the Inglewood Area Ministers Association (IAMA) on Sunday, September 22, during an Installation Celebration at 6 p.m., at First Church of God, 9550 Crenshaw Boulevard in Inglewood.

Pastor Geremy Dixon will host the service that features the Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Haynes as keynote speaker.  Also, businessman Samuel Bingham, Inglewood Today writer Cynthia Manker, Pastor Dixon and IAMA Past President Dr. Austin Williams will be honored.

Preparing for his tenure, Bishop Williams said, “This a unique group.  It’s non-denominational, inter-faith, and really open to women in ministry.

“One of my goals is to develop partnerships with non profit organizations in our community as well as elected officials to maximize the training and resources available to our churches.”

Reflecting on his long friendship with Dr. Haynes, Bishop Williams noted, “He will deliver a prophetic, contemporary, progressive message.  He will inspire and give a witness that IAMA is rebuilding and seeking to unite clergy and laity in bringing ministries up.”

The public is invited to attend the Installation Celebration.  For information, call (323) 757-1804.
