All precicnts reported, Rodney G. Tanaka secures a seat on city council with 27% of the vote for the city of Gardena. Paulette Francis battles for the second seat for Gardena City Council in a close race with Harout “Art” Kaskanian, both with 17% of the vote.
John J. Kennedy ran unopposed for City Council District 3 of Pasadena and will remain in his seat with 100% of vote according to the polls.
All precincts reported, Rachel C. Johnson is reported to have won with 22% of the vote over Tasha Cerda with 21% for Mayor of Gardena. Reports seem to state more votes are being counted and the results may still be unofficial. They edged out a close race with Pro Tem Mayor Mark E. Henderson, who had 18% of the vote. Henderson will retain his city council seat.
