On July 25, 2016, Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen #2 located at 3249 W. Century Blvd Inglewood, CA 90303 has officially relocated to 1714 W. Century Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90047 (Cross Streets Century and Western). Since opening in December of 2011, Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen #2 has been committed to providing the generous portions, good service, and food that reminds one of being at grandma’s for Sunday dinner for our patrons who live, work, and shop in Inglewood and beyond.
While Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen first opened its Flagship location in 1999 at 202 E. Manchester Inglewood, CA 90302, its roots in the community go back several decades. Adolf Dulan, the self-proclaimed “King of Soul Food”, has reigned over the Los Angeles food scene for nearly 40 years. As a successful restaurateur, Adolf and the Dulan family has brought us Hamburger City in the 70s, Aunt Kizzy’s Back Porch in the 80s and early 90s, and now in the 21st Century we bring you Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen, now managed by Terry Dulan and family. We also have our affiliate location, Dulan’s on Crenshaw owned by Greg Dulan. Adolf has appeared as a celebrity chef for Lawry’s and is a founder of the Millionaire Men’s Club, a social, networking and investment collaborative. Adolf’s motivation for opening Soul Food Kitchen was to capture a different aspect of the market.
In the community, Adolf has been recognized by many organizations and received numerous commendations including: A Certificate of Recognition from Assemblyman Sebastian RidleyThomas in 2014 for the Community Based Business of the Year Award by Black Business Association and most recently 2016 Small Businessman of the Year from the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Adolf has been lauded by the California State Assembly, Congresswoman Karen Bass and U.S. Representative Maxine Waters for his dedication to service and creating job opportunities in the community.
