Christopher Darden, an accomplished attorney, best-selling author and law professor, has announced that he is a candidate for Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge.

Perhaps best known for serving as a prosecutor in the most watched trial in history, Darden has been a legal commentator, community leader and law professor and brings a unique skill set and unmatched experience to the bench.

Christopher Darden is most recognized for serving on the prosecutorial team of the O.J. Simpson trial, but he was already a seasoned deputy district attorney with 15 years of trial experience in the Los Angeles County DA’s office before that assignment.    As a member of the prosecution, Darden brought a critical missing piece – the importance of giving a voice to the victims and their family members, which he has continued as an advocate for victims.

As a deputy district attorney, Christopher Darden worked in the Hardcore Gang Unit and then the Special Investigation Division where he investigated criminal activity and corruption by public officials including law enforcement personnel.

For the past 27 years, Darden has been in private practice as a criminal defense attorney.  He has also been teaching for more than a decade, serving as an adjunct professor of law, law professor and assistant professor of law.

A New York Times #1 best-selling author and a regular legal commentator on national news outlets, Darden’s campaign said that his “extraordinary courtroom experience representing both sides of the law, his work as a legal scholar and his deep commitment to justice for all, makes him an exceptional candidate for the bench.”
