Danielle Holley-Walker, was named Dean of Howard University School of Law in June, 2014 by the new President of Howard University, Dr. Wayne Fredricks, MD.   Dean Holley-Walker, is visiting the Southland, this weekend on a fundraising campaign for Howard University’s School of Law and she will be hosted at fundraising reception, in her honor, on Friday, January 30, 2015, by Attorneys Alvin and Carla Pittman.

Dean Holley-Walker previously served as a law professor and her impressive background includes an appointment as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of South Carolina Law School. She teaches civil procedure, federal courts and administrative law.  Her background also includes teaching at Hofstra University School of Law.  Dean Holley-Walker holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Harvard University. She clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit for Chief Judge Carl E. Stewart.

Dean Holley-Walker says `Howard’s Law School remains a definitive force in American jurisprudence and will continue to play an unparalleled role in advancing social justice.”  Dean Holley-Walker intends to establish a robust agenda for the Law School for the 21st century and beyond.
