Pastor Willie McDaniel and the members of Curry Temple C.M.E. Church will celebrate Friends and Family Day on Sunday, March 29, in their sanctuary located at 322 West Rosecrans Avenue in Compton. The theme is ‘Friends and Family: Together We Can.’
Cheryl A. Estrada will be the guest speaker at 10:30 a.m. A gifted soloist, she is the Praise and Worship Leader and Lay Leader at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Compton. She is also a charter member of Curry Temple.
At 4 p.m., the Rev. Adell McDaniel will preach. He is an associate pastor at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles and the brother of Pastor McDaniel. A retired banker, he is the co-founder and co-owner of McDaniel and Associates Accounting Services.
The program chairpersons are Elliot White and Fannie Turner. Serving as pew captains are Elliott and LaVern White, Jeraldine Ducksworth, Wilma Washington, Norman and Janet Coleman, Bill and Fannie Turner, Shawn and Tami McAdory, Mark and Robin Moten, Jerry Reed, Jill Bolling, Mona Jones, Dorothy McMillan, Diana Winton and Pastor McDaniel.
