Costume designers for films including “Promising Young Woman,” “Mulan,” “Mank” and “One Night in Miami” are among the nominees heading into tonight’s virtual presentation of the 23rd Costume Designers Guild Awards.

For the first time in CDGA history, the annual awards show will be live-streamed exclusively on Twitter — @CostumeAwards. Actress Lana Condor will host.

Nominated for costume design in contemporary films are the costumers from “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn),” “Da 5 Bloods,” “Promising Young Woman” and “The Prom.”

Competing in the period film category are the designers from “Emma,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” “Mank” and “One Night in Miami.”

Among those set to present during the show are Rose Byrne, Andra Day, Emerald Fennell, Regina King, Carey Mulligan and Leslie Odom Jr.

During the ceremony, producers Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers will jointly receive the Distinguished Collaborator Award for their “unwavering support” of costume design and designers.

The show will remain on Twitter and also be available on demand the next day across platforms including CDGA.LIVE and CDGA’s Instagram, the CDGA said.
