Ward AME Church plans a free forum on wrongful convictions on March 17, at 6:30 p.m., at 1177 W. 25th St., in Los Angeles. The Legal Redress Committee of the National Association for Equal Justice in America sponsors the event. The participants are Michael S. Jones and representatives from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the State Attorney General’s Office, the District Attorney’s Wrongful Convictions Unit and a private attorney. Christ Our Redeemer AME Church co-hosts “The Dancer In Me Sacred Arts & Music Training Institute on March 18-20, said Pastor Mark Whitlock and Rev. Stephanie Adams, co-host. Clergy Women Toastmasters plan a Good Friday Speak-A-Thon on March 25, at 7:30 a.m., at Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 3740 Don Felipe Dr., in Los Angeles, said the Rev. Helena Titus, president.
