Brookins-Kirkland Community AME Church hosts a Clothes Distribution on July 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 3719 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Mary S. Minor. The Mary M. Kidd Women’s Missionary Society sponsors the event. Audrey Fletcher is the WMS president. The public is welcome to donate clean, slightly used clothing. Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church salutes Pastor Michael and First Lady Karla Augustine with an appreciation service on July 9, at 4 p.m., at 1359 W. 84th Street in Los Angeles. The theme is “Our Pastor Enduring and Doing the Work” based on 2 Timothy 4:2-5. Victory Baptist Church sponsors a Job and Health Fair on July 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 4802 S. McKinley Ave., in Los Angeles, said Pastor W.E. Jenkins. Several agencies will participate including L.A. Department of Public Works, AARP, American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. Westbrooks of Faith Temple COGIC in Azusa will emcee, International Evangelist Regina Peel of Living Praise Christian Center in Palmdale will speak and the Morgan Sisters will sing.

New Providence Baptist Church plans the Hot Summer Night Revival on July 18, at 7 p.m., at 10200 S. Normandie Ave., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Q.E. McKinney. The revivalist is Pastor William Turner of New Revelation Baptist Church in Pasadena.
