Long Beach Ministers Alliance host “Laughing Lives Matter” on August 25, at the Terrace Theater, 300 East Ocean Blvd., in Long Beach, said Alliance President Gregory Sanders. Molina Health Care and the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Center co-sponsor the event. Lester Barrie will emcee. Performers include comedians Michael Colyar, Ron Pearson, Doug Williams, Gilbert Esquivel, Ricky Harris, Lamont Bonman and Angel Gainse. The donation is $10. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

Divine Deliverance Ministries presents “The Miriam Experience 2016” on August 26, at 7 p.m., and August 27, at 12 p.m., at 4120 11th Ave., in Los Angeles, said Lady Ladora King, host. Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center issues a call for prayer and fasting from September 5 to October 7 eliminate the violence between law enforcement and African American men.
