Interior design expert, Breegan Jane has been chosen to be part of the life changing design squad for the HGTV reboot of “Extreme Makeover: Home edition.”  New episodes started to air February 16.  Breegan reflected on her personal ties with watching the past “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” when it first aired back in 2003. It inspired her to always live for a greater purpose; to share her gift of visual creativity with the world. The undeniable interior artist is highly sought after for her design skillset. Breegan is a California native in high demand, she has constructed multiple successful business ventures: interior design, real estate development, and lifestyle expertise. She continues to grow her brand and social platform by having an influential social media presence. Breegan made a name for herself initially as creative director and marketing professional for a luxury yacht manufacturer. She has devoted her time to celebrity and commercial properties, as well as luxe restaurants and massive scale remodels. When Breegan is not designing new worlds, she is sculpting her own homestead with her two younger sons. The multifaceted businesswoman and mother fit the role for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” effortlessly.  

This constructive reality T.V. program has not been televised for almost a decade, the reboot of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is refreshing.  The show has been taken to a whole new level of positivity with “Modern Family’s” Jesse Tyler Ferguson as the host. Other major players on the redefined Design team is designer, Carrie Locklyn and Carpenter, Darren Keefe. The HGTV televised program is a spin off show presenting “stories of inspiration of whole-home overhauls” this will include interior and exterior design in addition to landscaping. The transformation will take place in seven days while the family is sent away. The episodes run about 43 minutes long showcasing the evolution of homes. Selected locations represent families experiencing traumatic or unfortunate times. During the time of demolition and re-construction, the family unit is sent away on trips as their place of shelter transforms into a space of healing and hope.  

 

Breegan shared her thoughts about the show, “…I think what’s awesome about ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ is they are capturing in this first season, all of our neighbors, friends, families, and  communities  coming together and rallying behind, one story.” Insightful of the national Crisis of homelessness happening, in L.A. the humbled designer shared that this show is pushing for more awareness and prompts us to ask these larger questions. She stated, “… We need that right now in this climate, to remember there is a lot of good still needs to be done, and Extreme Makeover is setting that example…” Breegan Jane described the transformation of these homes being a “ well planned, well executed, mission.”   

Continuing outside of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” Breegan Jane brings light to the world and puts her helping hands to work. She dedicates her time to a non-profit organization, World Vision. Recently, she assisted with funding of a newly commissioned girls’ dorm and secondary school in Kenya, Africa. The mission for Breegan Jane is to spread light, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” has given her a platform to touch lives with her gift of beautifying a place of solitude for deserving families. Inspired by helping others, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is lucky to have her eye for detail. Breegan shared the water works of tears the crew shared with these families, “…We were holding each other, saying don’t worry, we did it first, and some of them were happy tears, and some of them were tears of letting go of the pain.” The experience with “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” challenged  Breegan, she mentioned that there were a lot of moving parts, everyone was working towards something “Bigger.” The unity in that mindset kept the work flowing and on time for the five-day deadline. Breegan Jane stated, “There was no way to get it done, without love and community involvement.”  Speaking with Breegan, one can feel her true passion in service and treating others with kindness.
