Hey Pittsburghers!
Antonio Brown got what he wanted. All it took was a few fiery interviews, some bizarre social media posts and a strange blond mustache, but it finally happened: Brown will be traded to the Raiders and will reportedly get the guaranteed money he said he was looking for from his new team.
You don’t have to look too far back into the Twitter archives to find NFL analysts ripping Brown for his approach this offseason. He was mocked when it was reported the best receiver of this generation was seeking around $18 million from whatever team traded for him. Well…
Brown will make $16.7 million per year in hard dollars over the next three seasons. But when the $11.2 million is added to the $68 million in new money that Brown received two years ago from the Steelers, the new-money average on the entire deal spikes from $17 million to $19.8 million.
. And the beat continues!
