Bishop Frank L. Stewart and members of the Association of Zoe Christian Fellowship Ministries International invite the public to attend its annual Purpose Conference on Friday, January 22, at 7 p.m., at Zoe Christian Fellowship of Whittier, 10252 Mills Ave., in Whittier.
During the conference, Bishop Stewart, founder and president of the organization, will transfer his leadership mantle to Pastor Edward Smith of Zoe Christian Fellowship of Whittier. Pastor Smith has served as Bishop Stewart’s official assistant since the inception of the association.
“Now is the time and season for Pastor Smith to become the overseer of this work while continuing to be the pastor of his local church,” said Bishop Stewart, who will serve as bishop emeritus of the association.
In addition, Bishop Stewart will focus on his new vision of ministering to the male gender on developing healthier relationships with their female counterparts and related interests.
“This is an area he has been working on for several years. He believes it is his season and time to expand this area of ministry; thus, the reason for his release of his position as overseer of the Zoe Association,” said a spokesperson.
The conference will contain worship, praise, and ministry of the Word of God as well as the consecration of Pastor Smith to the office of overseer. Apostle Ron Hill of Love and Unity Christian Fellowship and Bishop Virgil Patterson of the Crusade Christian Center will assist Bishop Stewart in ordaining Pastor Smith as Bishop.
