Best Start Broadway-Manchester recently hosted “Winter Wonderland: Resource Fair and Toy Giveaway”, a family-friendly holiday celebration that provided a safe environment for families and children at Green Meadows Recreation Center.
“Winter Wonderland: Resource Fair and Toy Giveaway” had entertainment and activities for all ages that included snow, the Grinch, games, raffles, Tommy The Clown, a video game truck, Zumba, yoga, informational booths, DJ, free food, and more!
Best Start Broadway-Manchester and Green Meadows Recreation Center partnered to create “Winter Wonderland: Resource Fair and Toy Giveaway” to provide resources, a tree planting activity, and a fun space to encourage quality time amongst families. The tree planting activity was a product of a CAL FIRE Urban and Community Forestry Program Grant awarded to the city of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and aligns with Best Start Broadway-Manchester’s mission to improve the community.
Community residents of Best Start Broadway-Manchester come together to improve the well-being of children from birth until age five. “Best Start Broadway- Manchester created this event to provide information to our community, better our community, and inform our community that we are always a resource,” says Renee Parker, leadership member of Best Start Broadway-Manchester.
