The office of Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson has made an unprecedented investment in South LA. Park infrastructure and programming extends beyond Movies in the Park and includes weekly Summer Camp park programming during the day, with additional classes in dance, yoga, gardening, and more, supported by the Council Office. His office has also made investments in public safety with increased Community Intervention Workers and Community Ambassadors to demonstrate how public safety includes trusted members of the community to address some of our safety issues. In addition, two brand new Olympic-sized pools with classes in competitive swim events such as synchronized swimming and water polo are available. Well-attended community activities and events support appropriate park use and allows residents to feel safe in their local park. This is your park, your activities, and your programs.
The Summer Family Nights Outdoor Movie Experience is presented by Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Project Pit, Brotherhood Crusade, and the Department of Recreation and Parks.
