This past week, Congresswomen Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40) and Karen Bass (CA-37) hosted a resource fair at Fremont High School called “Seniors Matter: A Resource Fair to Help Elders and Those Who Support Them.” The fair featured agency representatives who provided 40th and 37th Congressional District constituents with valuable informational resources. Congresswomen Roybal-Allard and Bass spoke with fair participants and gave remarks to those in attendance. In Congresswoman Roybal-Allard’s remarks, she thanked all the agency representatives who shared information with constituents at the fair, and provided a brief update on legislative issues for seniors. She also thanked Congresswoman Bass for co-sponsoring the fair with her, and congratulated Congresswoman Bass on her election as chair of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Congresswoman Roybal-Allard and her staff are always pleased to help 40th Congressional District residents, including seniors, resolve any issues they may have with federal agencies and programs such as Medicare, the Social Security Administration, the Veterans Administration, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Postal Service, and the IRS. The congresswoman’s office provides these services to constituents free of charge.
