Los Angeles Harvest Church members are celebrating their 15th Anniversary after more than a decade of ministerial service to the local community.
Worship services are set for Thursday, February 9 and Friday, February 10, at 7 p.m., at their edifice located at 3010 West 48th Street in Los Angeles.
According to Pastor Ron Black, the two-day commemoration is centered around the theme, ‘A Year of God’s Favor,’ based on Isaiah 61.
“We are so grateful to God to still be standing after 15 years. God has kept us and given us progress. We’ve purchased the building that we started in and now we’re owners. We’ve remodeled and we’ve increased and we’re just grateful to God for all He has done with us and through us,” he said.
Joining the celebration will be Elder Jeffrey M. Lewis, pastor of New Antioch Church of God in Christ, who will preach on February 9, and Superintendent Michael Henderson, Jr., pastor of Shiloh Church of God in Christ, who will deliver the message on February 10.
“Both of these speakers are powerful and anointed. Pastor Lewis and Pastor Henderson are definitely two of the greatest leaders of the future. They have both labored as pastors for many years and God has truly blessed them,” said Pastor Black.
Los Angeles Harvest Church plans many more activities during 2012. In the next few weeks, Rave Theater moviegoers will see their commercial inviting people to visit the worship and on February 14, a Valentine’s Day Black Tie Event dinner will be held in the church’s multi-purpose room.
Pastor Black said, “You will enjoy walking the red carpet, valet parking, photos, and live soul music from Darryl Darden and Friends. They will sing love songs, not raunchy or filled with innuendo, but just love, love, love.”
Approaching the future with praise and enthusiasm, he added, “This is a year of spiritual warfare and we’re making our move now because it’s a year of God’s favor. We invite the public to join us for our worship services.”
