First Lady Mae Blake

On Saturday, May 11, the doors of the Westin Hotel banquet room filled with hundreds of women participating in ‘A Day in May with Lady Mae Annual Mother’s Day Address.’

The featured speaker was First Lady Mae Blake of West Angeles Church of God in Christ where COGIC Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake serves as pastor.

Lady Mae’s message, entitled ‘Morning Gems,’ captivated the audience as she eloquently presented three things to do daily – watch your diet, exercise and rest. She also recommended to free yourself of clutter and at some point in life, be vigilant in terms of preparing for you final transition. This amazing message is available on DVD through the West Angeles Media Ministry.

Many guests commented that they felt spiritually edified and equipped with valuable information as a result of Lady Mae’s remarks. Following the ceremony, Lady Mae autographed her books, ‘Class Act 1’ and ‘Class Act 2.’

Among the many people contributing to the success of the program were Bishop Blake, Augustine Hughes, Ruth Davis, vocalist Trinora Parker, Dr. La Doris McClaney, Mrs. Cookie Johnson, Dr. Tonya Lewis, Dr. La Tonya Richardson-Jackson, Mrs. Karen Obregon, Mrs. DeAndra Blake, Missionary Idrose Bondaraunt, Peaches Allen, Janice Smallwood-McKenzie, and Mrs. Yvonne Johnson.
