May is Mental Health Awareness Month which means it’s the perfect time to talk about something we all need more of – peace (and maybe a nap).

Let’s be real: women do everything. We’re the caregivers, the professionals, the chefs, the therapists, the planners, the “do you have a minute?” problem-solvers. And while we’re busy holding it all together, our peace often gets pushed to the bottom of the to-do list.

But here’s the truth: mental health isn’t a luxury, it’s a priority. And peace? Peace is power. It’s the secret sauce that helps us make good decisions, set boundaries without guilt, and avoid crying in the car (again) because we are stressed out.

In a world that demands so much of us mentally, emotionally, and physically, guarding our inner peace is not optional. It’s essential. Peace empowers us to show up fully in our lives, to make wise decisions, nurture healthy relationships, and live in alignment with our values and purpose. Prioritizing peace is a bold act of self-respect, resilience, and strength.

Peace lets us say “no” without writing a 10-paragraph apology. It helps us walk away from drama like we’re in an action movie. It reminds us that we don’t have to be everything to everyone, and that it’s perfectly okay to leave some group chats on “mute.”

Choosing peace doesn’t mean you’re weak or checked out. It means you value your sanity, your space, and your snacks. It’s the ultimate act of self-love, and honestly, it’s cheaper than therapy (though we love therapy too!).

So, this month, join me and say YES to peace and NO to people who drain our energy like it’s an unlimited data plan. This month. let’s normalize rest. Let’s normalize saying “I need a moment.” Let’s normalize choosing peace over pressure. Because when we protect our peace, we protect our power—and that makes us unstoppable.

Women, stay peaceful and stay powerful. With love and laughter.
