The Women’s Christian Fellowship of People’s Independent Church of Christ presents its 75th Prayer Breakfast and Annual Day this weekend in the edifice at 5856 West Boulevard in Los Angeles.

“We welcome the Los Angeles community to attend our Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, August 17, at 10 a.m., and hear a spiritually empowering message by Pastor Jennifer Smith of Christ Connection Church in Houston, Texas,” said Bishop Craig Worsham, senior pastor.

“Jennifer’s ministry impacts countless people as well as encourages believers to lead effective and purposeful lives,” he added.

The celebration continues on Sunday, August 18, with Women’s Day services.  The theme is ‘Why Continue to Carry The Guilt’ based on 1 John 3:18-21.

Sister Judy Cooper, president of the People’s Independent Missionary Society, will bring the message at 8 a.m., and Pastor Smith will preach at 11 a.m. The Women’s Choir will sing under the direction of Minister Myrna Rochelle.

The Rev. Smith, a third-generation pastor, has served in ministry leadership for more than 20 years. As executive pastor of Christ Connection Church, she oversees the organization’s operations and administrative functions.

Also, Pastor Smith is the president and founder of The Resilient You Inc., a ministry committed to impacting the lives of women in various seasons of their life.  Professionally, she is employed as a senior global communications manager at a leading Oil and Gas Company.
