Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found unresponsive on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 10:25 am
(EST) in the bathtub of the Roswell home that she shared with husband Nick Gordon.
Gordon and a family friend reportedly found Brown and immediately began CPR until Roswell Police and Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene and performed life-saving measures. The news outlet TMZ is reporting that Brown who is breathing with the assistance of a ventilator, is making progress as the “swelling on her brain has gone down and she has been able to move her eyes.”
The Houston and Brown families released this statement today, “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family.” “As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support. Hospital officials have declined to comment on Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition, and the family has said that no further information would be released.
On Sunday, February 1, 2015, Brown’s father, R &B singer Bobby Brown issued the following statement: “Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”
Brown was originally taken to the North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Ga where she was treated in the intensive care unit. WSB-TV 2, Action News in Atlanta, is reporting that Brown has been moved to a hospital in the city of Atlanta.
The case is still under investigation by the Roswell Police Department. “We don’t know if this was a medical condition and she was having problems in the tub, or if it was any type of self-initiated or overdose type of situation,” said Lisa Holland with the Roswell Police Department.
This incident comes less than a couple of weeks before the third anniversary of Whitney Houston’s death. Houston was found submerged in a bathtub of water at the Beverly Hills Hilton on February 11, 2012. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
