Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa endorses Inglewood Mayor pro tem Danny Tabor for Mayor

Sentinel New Service

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has announced his support for Inglewood Mayor Pro Tem 1st District Councilmember Danny Tabor in his bid for mayor. Tabor’s longtime commitment to the City of Inglewood as a councilmember and activist and his involvement in Move L.A., a coalition working to build a broad constituency that will advocate for the development of a comprehensive, diverse, robust, clean, and financially sound public transportation system for Los Angeles County, earned him the Mayor’s support.

Inglewood voters will go to the polls in a special election on Tuesday, June 8 to elect a new Mayor after former Mayor Roosevelt F. Dorn stepped down after pleading guilty to a public corruption charge.

Endorsed by CA State Senator Rod Wright (D-25), CA State Assemblymembers Steve Bradford (D-51) and Isadore Hall (D-52), Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and retired former State Lt. Governor Mervyn Dymally, Councilmember Tabor is supported by a host of Inglewood residents, business owners, labor leaders, clergy, and community activists.
