Chicken is a staple in African American food.

Owner Delbert Gordon certainly knows this, which is why he has produced some of the best chicken you may ever taste in the Los Angeles County, located at 1116 E. El Segundo Blvd Los Angeles, CA, 90059.

He got started when a guy he knew owned a burger stand and wanted out of the business, he approached Gordon with the idea of taking on the business and it all started from there, where chicken became the main course on the menu.

He has been in business for 15 years serving all over the county of Los Angeles.

Magic Fingers-Eat’em Up will be returning to the Taste of Soul for the second time hosting an array of tasty meats: wings, legs, thighs, fried chicken and their gumbo.  Gordon is a fan of the event and is excited to come back this year.  “I am hoping to get more business and a lot more people tasting my gumbo and chicken.” He feels it is good advertisement for his business.

“I consider that we have the best gumbo and best chicken and aside from that our prices are cheap,” he acknowledges what sets his business apart from others.  “It is like getting better food.”

He further goes to say that it is a family recipe that has given him that supreme taste of gumbo; you can’t beat a distinct family recipe. He uses a special seasoning on his chicken that gives it that extra kick.

“Our customers and first timers always love our gumbo; a lot of them say you have the best gumbo around,” he boasts.

Gordon has seen people visit different restaurants for gumbo; however they come back to Magic Fingers for his instead.

He receives compliments all the time and has yet to get a bad review on his chicken and gumbo.

“I have to give my place of business a pat on the back because we do have good food,” said the proud owner. “I go to other places to test and compare the difference, I haven’t had one beat me out yet.”

Gordon wants us to know that he not only sells chicken and gumbo, but sells and caters soul food.

“We can cater from one person to a thousand people.”

Delbert Gordon certainly has the best chicken and gumbo, be sure to get to the Taste of Soul so you can be the judge of his appetizing food.
