A town hall meeting on the Affordable Care Act takes place on Sunday, February 23, at 3 p.m.,  Second A.M.E. Church, 5500 South Hoover Street in Los Angeles.

The forum is co-sponsored by USC’s Cecil Murray Center for Civic Engagement and the Southern California A.M.E. Ministerial Alliance.

“Our goal is to educate the community on the facts of Obamacare, empower the community with real answers, and to encourage enrollment in Covered California via one of the many enrollment vehicles available,” explained Pastor John E. Cager, pastor of Second A.M.E. and president of the Alliance.

Rev. Mark E. Whitlock, executive director of the Murray Center shared, “This will be one of ten large town hall public events we will host in collaboration with other ministerial alliances in Los Angeles.”

The public is invited to attend the free event.  For more information, call the Murray Center at (213) 743-2141.
