Two Injured in Watts Drive-By
By City News Service
Published June 26, 2008

CNS – Two people were critically wounded in a drive-by shooting at the Jordan Downs housing project in Watts Sunday, police said. The shooting on 102nd Street near Wilmington Avenue occurred about 3 a.m., said Los Angeles police Lt. Rachel Canchola of the Southeast Station. Two men— one in his 20s, the other in his 40s— were taken to a hospital in critical condition, Canchola said. Both were expected to survive, she said.
“They are in critical but stable condition,” said officer Kate Lopez of the Los Angeles police department.

Police, who withheld the names of both victims, believe the man in his 40s was an unintended victim. Officers are searching for three suspects, Lopez said. A description of the suspect vehicle was unavailable.
