Continuing its campaign to aid those in need, the Homeless Ministry of Trinity Baptist Church will hold their 7th Annual Blanket Drive on Saturday, December 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the church’s garage parking lot at 2040 West Jefferson Boulevard in Los Angeles.

“Our theme is ‘Do Good’ and we invite people throughout greater Los Angeles to donate to this worthy cause.  As in past years, Brother Brian Ferguson is heading up the campaign to obtain full, king or queen blankets for the homeless,” said Pastor Alvin Tunstill, Jr.

“The theme serves as to encourage people to just do good. We hope to collect 300 to 400 blankets so we can give them out over the next three months,” added Ferguson, who has been helping the homeless for the 17 years.

“Every month, we give out something, such as food, blankets, hygiene items, backpacks, and water bottles.  God is expanding this ministry and it’s getting bigger than just Trinity or me.  It’s about God and the people.  Everybody can do something,” he said.
