The Days of Darkness: Pelican Bay
By Malik Spellman
Published December 18, 2008

Well as I travel through the thoughts of my mind I ask the man upstairs if there was anything in particular that he wanted me to say to the people concerning the conditions we are faced with being free and bonded at the same time. For starters this article is about the hole in the great Pelican Bay Prison located at the end of the world. This place is heavy on my heart because I feel for the brothers-both Black and Brown and poor Whites who are suffering in these hell hole conditions for a undetermined amount of time placed on them by a kangaroo court that it is so prejudiced even the Nazi's that are housed there are discriminated against and oppressed by the system that is run similar in nature to Guantanamo Bay located in Cuba and operated by the United States of America, where there is no American hospitality.

I get letters from people who are housed there telling me that some of the young brothers, for whatever reason, are trying to die for a purple heart. I asked myself before reading the next paragraph. What the h@##$%^ is a person doing trying to get a purple heart in Pelican Bay? After all, this place is worse than Guantanamo Bay. Well to my unlikely surprise I was told that young people who are in the prison with way too much time are worrying themselves to death, by not sleeping, bathing or participating in any activity in the prison because they are trying to commit suicide. Sleeping is also a weapon of choice, and if that doesn't work for the person, they say that cutting off your biceps or triceps is also an option and part of the order of the day. Can you imagine? We are sending these people to places where they are totally isolated and agitated and then released back onto the public? All this in the name of money and racism in high places. Don't get me wrong. There are a host of people who deserve this type of housing and experimentation placed on them.

But at what point do we see the overwhelming amount of innocent rehabilitative people being tortured and put on redline pills, for the rest of their life leaving them shuffling on the corner with some headphones on their ears. People, I just don't believe in the legal oppression of a group of people like us who have never had any defense against poverty or lack of education one way or the other! I wonder how many lives we could save if we showed some respect to the tax payer by really making a difference in the lives of them as a community, by us going to these places of oppression and slavery to ask the big homies if they are interested in helping us regain the hearts of the youth. You would be surprised at the level of response that you will get. These brothers are eager to help relieve us of the burden of our neglect and disregard for the poor. I feel this from the seaweed of my soul!!!

Don't forget the brothers and sisters who are on death row being oppressed and killed. We can no longer tolerate the abuse of power that we see today within our high places. Why is it that they only pardon the corrupt and the rich? I think we should help the poor people and their children and then apologize for the lack of education and opportunity that we did not provide for them.

Then maybe "God" will have mercy on our souls and the souls of the children who are now being invaded by the whispers of Satan.

Get the babies is the solution to this problem. Give the little homie some well deserved power and respect for us misleading him. Readers let me ask you a question. Would you send your child to hell if you could? Well you have the power to also send them to heaven through the power of prayer and love. It doesn't matter who you pray to, it will still go to one mail box-GOD. So let's move right along with the scribe concerning the recapture of our youth and the prospects of getting a delegation together to monitor the slave ships like Lancaster and Pelican Bay prison where some groups or clans of human being haters are revitalizing the old south by abusing the clients that are sent to them by the courts of the Los Angeles penal system.

Our way of doing business is now an antiquated form of thinking that is so far removed from the real reform that we still take fathers out of the home for hundreds of years at a time, and then anticipate the children's mistakes because there is no guidance in the house. And then destroy first, their self esteem by throwing them into the pool of blood that their parents ran from and swam in for decades at a time. I want to give parents a chance to not join the mothers of the murdered children society. Homie think before you react because in a nano second you can become a ward of the state and your family will have their names placed on little White index cards and placed in the gang injunctions gentrification file. People these new cops that are out here have no mercy on the citizens and their civil liberties. They are not friendly at all. They are so hungry to lock you and your family up for the courts and the money, where at some point you wish that you had old hateful "Mr Gates the King of Hate." This man helped the process start in terms of removing the fathers from the home. Now they are trying to put as many injunctions on hoods where there are no increases in violence or shootings. What is this? The more you help to decrease crime as a private citizen the quicker the gentrification comes?

I mean the injunction comes. Well I have vented enough for now and it is time to go and pray for the poor. Long live Tony Bogard. And free Big Bad from Broadway tribe. He really is a great architect of peace and an unsung hero of the hood. Parakeet beware of ink coming your way. I won't totally disrespect you like you did me, but I will roast you with this ink pen next time you get beside your shadow concerning anything about me. Remember you were on the porch when the homies was really practicing the powers of darkness. You chose to be a crack head!!!!!! Observer who wanted to be a part of something that he really didn't understand, now you suffer. Stay in your lane convict and stop burning your bridges with people who have tolerated your antics long enough young lad.
