C3 Foundation will host the 4th Annual Laron Larrimore Health Awareness Fair and Community Walk in Los Angeles at Saint Andrews Park -8701 Saint Andrews Place. Los Angeles CA, 90047 on Saturday January 12, from 11A.M. – 3P.M.
Armed with a mission to promote Building a Healthy Lifestyle where you “live, work and play,” Derek Haskell and his team at C3 Foundation seek to educate, energize and encourage participants and onlookers alike to engage in healthier choices for their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual awareness, he said.
“A day like this one will help to inform from a variety of choices for health and wellness in the community,” said event organizers.
The day, they said, includes a 5K Walk through the park, sample sessions with fitness trainers from Planet Fitness and free health screenings focused on high blood pressure, dementia and Alzheimer’s from the To Help Everyone Clinic. Over 300 participants are expected to attend and walk for better health.
“The community walk and free health screening are an effort to serve people locally and remind the world that New Orleans/Katrina devastation is parallel to all of the devastation that effects all of our inner city community that still need intervention in the areas expressed above, still needs everyone’s helping hands nearly 7 years after the tragedy caused by Hurricane Katrina. ??The Community Creates Change Foundation (C3) was established a 501 (c) (3) organization in 2007 by Mr. Derek Lamonte Haskell, Jr.
Our mission is to serve as a centralized hub for transparent- economic based on philanthropic giving to the underrepresented and the underprivileged communities, both nationally and internationally,” they said.
