Three weeks from runoff election Compton native continues to build momentum

With three weeks to go before the June 7th runoff election, Compton native Janna Zurita continues to build momentum with the announcement of California State Assemblymember (D-52) Isadore Hall’s, endorsement in her bid for Compton City Council’s 1st District seat.

“As a current member of the California State Assembly, and past member and Mayor Pro Tem for the city of Compton, I know what is required of our leaders during these truly extraordinary times,” said Hall.  “Cities throughout the State of California are facing unprecedented economic hardship.  I am confident that Janna Zurita possesses the qualifications for being that kind of leader and a key player in bringing renewed hope to the citizens of the City of Compton.”

Compton residents will return to the polls on June 7 to elect a councilmember.  Janna Zurita, who placed second in April’s primary election, is a lifelong resident of the city of Compton and coordinator for the Dickson Senior Meals On Wheels program.

“As a Compton native myself, it is a real honor to have the support of Assemblymember Isadore Hall supporting my campaign for City Council,” said Janna Zurita.

Known as the “Hub City” the city of Compton is home to approximately 100,000 citizens and is in the heart of Los Angeles County.  Strategically located along the Alameda Corridor, Compton has emerged as one of the largest industrial centers in Los Angeles County for transit and distribution, business services, high technology, home and lifestyle products, metals, financial services, and textile manufacturing.
