“Always Follow your Dreams, and Never let anyone tell that you cant because it doesn’t make sense,” -Statik Express

From selling their CD’s in front of Walgreens and Target, to performing in front of thousands at the 4th Annual ‘A Taste of Soul’, comes an unsigned group ready to take over the Music Industry.

The four cousins born and being raised in Los Angeles: Mali, Dami, Mariah, and Dayanah, collectively came together as a group two and a half years ago to form Statik Express.

Determined to be successful, Statik Express took action rehearsing daily during their free time and selling their CD’s every chance they get. Hard work has proven to pay off because the young talents continue to land many gigs around town.

Performing everywhere that they can, Statik Express has been seen at middle schools to big events like ‘A Taste of Soul’ and at the Staples Center as well as for the staff members at the Sentinel Newspaper.

The non-bashful group is always willing and ready to perform no matter what. They are dedicated and always put their heart and soul into performing and singing.

“We don’t have time to play, we will play when make it big and become successful,” said the group.

The determined and very intellectual group has a unique sound and high energy that will have you dancing and singing along to their hit songs from their first single: “Follow your Dreams”, “2 busy 4 a Boyfriend” and “Best Friends.”

Statik Express’ music is charming, full of life and positive all in one. The Dynamic pre-teen group is determined to be successful so look out for them in the near future.

Staik Express Q&A

Sentinel: How did you all get started?
