Bishop J. Delano Ellis will headline ‘Souled Out 2013’ sponsored by Southern Missionary Baptist Church, 4678 West Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles.

According to Pastor Xavier L. Thompson, “January is a time to assess our lives and adjust, renew or stop some practices. ‘Souled Out 2013’ will help you set the tone for a new chapter in your life and go deeper in your spiritual walk.”

Activities highlight ‘Celebration’ with Friday Night Live on January 18 at 7 p.m. ‘Edification’ is the focus on Saturday, January 19 at 10 a.m., with seminars presented by Bishop Johnny R. Withers, Jr., of Unity Christian Fellowship, Pastor George E. Hurtt of Mount Sinai M.B. Church, and Butch Dennis of the Amateur Christian Bodybuilding Association.

On Sunday, January 20, ‘Consecration’ will be the emphasis with Bishop Ellis as the special guest at the 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. services.  Attendees are asked to wear white.

An internationally renowned theologian, Bishop Ellis is the pastor of Pentecostal Church of Christ (PCC) in Cleveland, OH, and founding president/chairman of the Joint College of African American Pentecostal Bishops.

Widely recognized for encouraging Christian unity and ecumenism, Bishop Ellis is cited on the PCC website for “his spirit of servanthood” and leading “positive change in the church and the civic community.”
