Snow Bound!

Thanks to Project SAVE and Community Build, Inc., over 150 at-risk kids from South Los Angeles recently had the opportunity to have a “Snow Day” at Mountain High Ski Resort in Wrightwood. Project SAVE, the gang intervention organization founded by Councilmember Herb Wesson, provides a wide range of intervention services and recreational outlets for kids who are at-risk. For most of the kids, who ranged in age from 6 to 14 years-old, this all-day adventure was their first skiing trip. Councilmember Wesson dropped by to offer a warm send-off on their trip.
