Rev. Dr. J. Alfred Smith, Sr.

Church Women United South Bay Chapter will hold its annual revival starting Wednesday, May 22, and continuing through Friday, May 24, at 7 p.m.

According to the Rev. Joyce Randall, CWU President, the services will take place at Brookins Community A.M.E. Church, 4831 South Gramercy Place in Los Angeles.  The Rev. Gregory K. McLeod is the host pastor.

The revivalist is Pastor Emeritus J. Alfred Smith, Sr., of the historic Allen Temple Baptist Church in Oakland. He is renowned scholar, author, and professor who will preach biblical themes on empowerment, said President Randall.

“We are overjoyed to hear the Word by Pastor Emeritus Smith.  The community is invited to join us and prepare to be so richly blessed,” she said.
